Is Apple hiring Android software engineers to build Android apps?
0Apple looking to hire Android software engineers; is it planning to release Android apps?
iOS is a mobile operating system that has been created and developed by Apple Inc. and distributed exclusively for Apple hardware. It is the operating system that presently powers many of the company’s mobile devices, including the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Undoubtedly, iOS has strongly affected the whole computer industry for the better.
Due to its popularity, Apple’s mobile platform is used by many around the world, making developers prefer developing for iOS first before hopping onto other platforms. In spite of this, Google’s Android has always been an obstacle for the company for years and also the one to steal the company’s market share.
Hence, to increase its hold in the market, Apple has come up with the Android Apple Music app that’s scheduled to arrive sometime this fall. It also introduced the Move to iOS app that Apple intends to use for helping Android users convert to iOS users.
However, Apple doesn’t plan to stop at this and looks like it has even more bigger plans. Could Apple be planning to release apps for the Android platform? Is Apple seeking out experienced Android software engineers for this job? Well, may be yes.
Imagine what you could do here. At Apple, great ideas have a way of becoming great products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. Bring passion and dedication to your job and there’s no telling what you could accomplish. We’re looking for engineers to help us bring exciting new mobile products to the Android platform.
Though the job posting does not provide any details regarding the projects that Apple has in mind, we can make wild guesses about it. Could it be iCloud, or email, or Safari, or iWork, or a future Siri that Apple plans to introduce, only time will tell.
Currently, other than Apple Music, there is no clarity on what additional products the company plans to bring to Android. Having said that, it is time for Google to pull up their socks and concentrate more on their actual Android operating system as opposed to services provided by it. With both Microsoft, and now Apple, apparently planning to use Android to their maximum advantage, Google’s Android operating system is now at more risk than ever before.
Do let us know what products of Apple would you like to see in Android in the comments section below.
